Where did you get that error message exactly?

It seems there's a problem with your headers address; this is from exim logs:

I can see the behaviour you describe. It wouldn't be strange if there are federation issues, as the GS version we are using is alpha after all... Anyway, could it be that friendica treats both messages as a new -differentent- thread? It shouldn't, but...
