     @natytuk Basically it's like Twitter... except! We do not serve ads or track or users! Privacy is key here. We are just one server in a network of many thousands, that is called the #Fediverse :fediverse: Or "federated universe" :cat_hug_triangle:

     The "local" timeline shows you posts from people from mstdn.social and on the "global" timeline you find posts from people all over the Fediverse!
