     Most everyone on this planet seems to still work under the assumption that this will a problem of future generations, but not theirs.

     So let's maximize the personal profit and self-indulgence while you're alive!

     This is probably just human nature and I'm not sure we'll learn to moderate ourselves until it's too late to do so.
