     Three steps:

     1. Have a script call an API to retrieve any data you're interested in.
     2. Make it write to a time series database, like InfluxDB.
     3. Use Grafana to access the database, create dashboards and dynamically render graphs.

     @fribbledom I suspect some of the Mastodon servers are struggling with their own failwhale moment in growth. I've heard of users with sign-up emails not confirming, images not displaying/uploading. Guess it's a good problem to have? 🤷♂️

     It might not, but that's fine. Mind describing what's confusing to you? In many ways, it very much mimics Twitter's interface and you seem to have managed to follow people and message me. That sounds like a good start.

     I don't think this will continue. Unfortunately Mastodon is badly organized, very non-intuitive. I still cannot figure out how to use it. I doubt that it would be able to replace Twitter

     @fribbledom well I can definitely spot the way you’re projecting the Y axis, kinda misleading. The growth seems enormous but is around 400-500 on a 24k total

     I wrote a little script extracting the numbers and storing them in InfluxDB. The graphs are generated by Grafana.
