    In den nächsten Tagen wird es einen kurzen Ausfall geben, um den Server neu zu starten und den #meltdown Patch einzuspielen. Das macht der Provider, weshalb ich keine Kontrolle darüber oder Information habe, wann das passiert.

    At some point within the next few days there will be a short downtime for reboot and adding the #meltdown patch. This is done by the provider so I don't have control or information when it will happen.

    Kurze Duchsage: das An- und Abpinnen von Posts scheint ziemlich buggy zu sein. Problem dabei ist, dass der Entwickler der Funktion weg ist. Daher hab ich die Funktion vorerst deaktiviert. !gnusocialde

    Der Würgaround für die Mastodon-Verbindung war scheinbar kaputt. Jetzt geht's wieder, dafür fluten jetzt alle alten Posts seit ~26.09. rein. Sorry, sollte bald wieder normal laufen. !gnusocialde

    Ich lasse gerade (mal wieder) ein Script laufen, das kaputte Subscriptions von Mastodon repariert. Eure Timeline düfte dadurch etwas durcheinander gewürfelt werden. Sorry für die Umstände, aber so lange der Bug nicht gefixt wird geht's nicht anders.

    Das folgen von !gnusocialde Nutzern <-> Mastodon funktioniert jetzt wieder.

    Grund war, dass eine Ruby Library welche Mastodon nutzt, nicht mit http2 klarkommt. Ich habe daher http2 vorerst wieder deaktiviert bis der Ruby-Hipsterkram mit diesem neuen heißen Scheiß "http2" klarkommt. ;-)

    So, !gnusocialde is back. This is what happened:
    The server was at limit for a while now. CPU load was constantly extremly high. By the "Patrick-Breyer-Incident" starting on last Saturday a lot of users joined. I opened registrations temporarily for that.
    That was a bit too much for little server-y and it gave up during Monday.

    On Monday evening I shorthanded initiated switching to a new server. 30GB database as well as 150GB user data migrated over night and during today I configured everything.

    In the meantime everything should work okay but I'll have to do some optimizations still. There might be some outages incoming.

    So, !gnusocialde is back. Das ist passiert:
    Eigentlich war der Server schon eine ganze Weile am Limit. Gerade die CPU Last war konstant extrem hoch. Durch den "Patrick-Breyer-Incident" kamen ab letzten Samstag jede Menge neue Nutzer hinzu. Ich hatte hierfür die Registrierungen temporär geöffnet.
    Das war dann doch etwas zu viel für das kleine Serverlein und er gab im Lauf des Montags auf.

    Ich habe dann Montag Abend kurzerhand den Wechsel auf einen neuen Server eingeleitet. 30GB Datenbank sowie 150GB Nutzerdaten über Nacht migriert und heute im Lauf des Tages alles soweit konfiguriert.

    Inzwischen sollte alles wieder okay laufen, aber ich werde noch ein paar Optimierungen vornehmen müssen. Es kann also noch zu kurzfristigen Ausfällen kommen.

    Danke an dieser Stelle für euer Verständnis, die vielen (!) Hilfsangebote und vor allem eure Geduld!
