Cómo evitar el phishing...

El phishing es una técnica de estafa, no un hackeo, y cualquiera puede caer en ella. A menudo es más fácil engañar a una persona que a un sistema operativo, y esto se debe en parte a nuestros sesgos psicológicos.

Los dos más comunes para este tipo de estafas son el miedo y la intriga, se utilizan porque ambos generan una reacción impulsiva y, casi sin pensarlo, es justo en ese momento cuando de manera involuntaria le entregamos lo que querian.

¿Cómo estar alerta ante una supuesta estafa?

¿Te dio miedo lo que leíste o te intrigó y estás a punto de actuar rápidamente?

Antes de actuar, recuerda estos puntos:

1. Errores de ortografía y gramática: Es muy común ver mensajes de bancos o empresas de criptomonedas que, a pesar de ser aparentemente serias, tienen errores en la escritura o conjugación (Phishing 100%).

2. Comprueba la autenticidad del remitente y la dirección o URL. En ocasiones, estas están escritas de manera similar, pero no idéntica. Lee con calma, no te apresures, eso es lo que buscan.

3. Si te sientes amenazado o intimidado por el correo electrónico, es muy probable que sea phishing.

4. Por último, si algo en los puntos anteriores no te parece del todo claro, no abras ningún enlace.

5. Ninguna empresa como Microsoft, Spotify, Netflix, Amazon, entre muchas otras, te enviará un enlace de pago a tu correo electrónico o un enlace para ingresar tus datos de tarjeta de crédito en un sitio web. Pueden enviarte notificaciones, pero eso es todo. Lo ideal es acceder a la cuenta de forma manual, escribiendo cada caracter de la URL del sitio web en cuestión.

Recuerda que quieren que actúes rápido y sin pensar para forzarte a cometer un error. Hazlo con calma, nadie te está apresurando.

Nope. There's a Naive Bayesian plugin that you can use with training but the default rules do a decent job even if you don't enable or train the Bayes DB. We have a QA process for the default rules that adjusts scoring daily and an active core team creating and testing new rules all the time.
