Week 7, The Login Process
In this week, we begin our discussion of process relationships, including process groups, sessions, and our first, asynchronous type of interprocess communication in the form of signals. To get us started, we first look at how processes created during the normal Unix boot process relate to one another. (And no, we will _not_ discuss #systemd. I said *normal* boot process.)

Now imagine asking, idk, google or Siri or god forbid an actual calendar, instead of turning to the best tool for the job: systemd.

#systemd timer o cron de toda la vida. Pues vengo usando el primero mas seguido de lo que pensaba.
Un ejemplo, un timer para cambiar el fondo de pantalla, cada hora, ejecutando un script sencillo.
El cual lanza aleatoriamente las imágenes desde una carpeta designada, gracias al comando #feh.
feh --randomize --bg-scale /home/user/fondos/*
Por si no sabias, requieres dos archivos, el service, y el timer, para hacerlo funcional. Y claro al #script, darle permisos de ejecución.

Las versiones de mantenimiento de los sistemas GNU/Linux, con excepciones como las LTS de Ubuntu, raras veces suelen acaparar protagonismo en los medios debido a que por lo general solo aportan parches y actualizaciones menores o comunes (como la de los navegadores web), sin embargo, Nitrux 1.3.2 se ha convertido en una excepción al introducir algunos cambios de gran calado.
En su momento ya cubrimos el lanzamiento de Nitrux 1.3.0, la última versión mayor de esta distribución basada en Ubuntu LTS que destaca por incorporar Nomad Desktop, un KDE Plasma modificado con un atractivo acabado estético. Ahora ha llegado Nitrux 1.3.2, una versión aparentemente de mantenimiento que bien merece el trato de un lanzamiento mayor.

New rule: if your distro depends on #PulseAudio and #systemd it's no longer GNU/Linux. It's #Poetterix. Blame Lennart for not having the sense to refrain from meddling with stuff he doesn't fully understand. 😈
