Sounds like you have some issues though, good luck with that.

I will say the ratio is actually not that different from what I've seen in other polls though. Consistently Vim seems to be preferred about 3:1 to emacs in programmer polls I've seen.
Reason I like Spacemacs and Doom-macs is partly because it brings the best part of vim (its key sequences) to the best part of emacs (the extensibility)

π Dr. Freemo :jpf: π³π± (freemo@qoto.org)'s status on Sunday, 12-Jan-2020 19:28:38 UTC π Dr. Freemo :jpf: π³π± @cadey I like things about each. The layout of the keys in Spacemacs feels more well thought out. I love how the current mode is under , for example. I also think its status bar is just prettier.
With that said there is a cleaner feel to doom-emacs, its a bit faster, seems to have more modules than spacemacs has layers, etc.
The key bindings in spacemacs is, so far, the winnin reason I'd pick spacemacs. But it may be that Doom-macs has something similar and I just havent learned enough yet.

I really cant tell which one I'll settle on. so far I like Spacemacs better but that may also just be because it comes easier to me right now.

π Dr. Freemo :jpf: π³π± (freemo@qoto.org)'s status on Sunday, 12-Jan-2020 19:17:28 UTC π Dr. Freemo :jpf: π³π± I agree, there will be some places where people trade actual child porn.
All I'm saying is when I was researching the mastodon instances it didnt seem these were very popular places for that, at least not on the large lolicon instances like pawoo. It wouldnt surprise me though if some smaller instances engage in it as a point and purpose for the instance. Just saying its not the majority and I dont think its the case of Pawoo. Though I could be wrong.

π Dr. Freemo :jpf: π³π± (freemo@qoto.org)'s status on Sunday, 12-Jan-2020 18:59:49 UTC π Dr. Freemo :jpf: π³π± That sounds far fetched that its some front for some deeper more sinester purpose. I think it is ignorant to the nature of people. Most probably enjoy the drawings and that is as far as it goes. For a small minority some probably take it further. People will always assume the most vile small minority of any group is representative of the whole sadly.
I read a lot of blog posts 2 years ago when I started QOTO to try to reconcile my position on lolicon, much of it coming from the people on these instances themselves. It seemed clear to me most people who engage in lolicon and the majority of japanese (at least according to what I read) do not see it as related to actual real life children. It is a fantasy world like magic and other anime themes that arent meant to translate to the real world and for most people do not.
To me it sounds like the same argument as people who think violence in video games implies people who like video games are violent. Thats just not how humans work.
