Everyone deserves food, water, healthcare, shelter, all the things they need to survive and have a basic enjoyment of life. They deserve those things regardless of whether others perceive their contributions to society as worthy of sustaining the resources they consume. They deserve those things regardless of any moral judgments others put on them. Even people you hate, even people who have done very bad things. No exceptions.

Given the option to use an experimental self-driving delivery robot when I ordered pizza tonight... o.O Like, no? Of course, they wanted to know why I refused. So: “Solidarity with your drivers. I’ll order elsewhere before I use your delivery robots.”

@Laurelai The facts don’t change based on who you happen to like (or not) at the time. It is beyond fucked up that she tried back pedaling from her original story no matter how you look at it and I think it says more about her as a person than it does anything else.

So I spent most of today dug into C++. I decided to pick up a course from udemy for a whopping $12 (cheaper than buying a book). I was skeptical, but the content is actually good?

I will say that the first portions of it were incredibly boring as it’s written in such a way that I think a complete newbie to coding could watch the lectures / follow along with the exercises and get stuff working. I’m new to C++ but have been puttering w various languages since the dawn of the dinosaurs so...

Seriously... the same of y’all will just boost shit without bothering to actually look into it really scares the crap out of me.

You’re so willing to believe anything negative about someone you don’t like personally. And it takes so little to push you to that point.

Here’s a thing... don’t assume you can recognize a KF user based on where they stand politically, on social issues, whether they are lgbt, etc. They can literally be anybody and you probably have one or more already within your social network. I’ve literally seen posts on their forums bragging about how they’re invisible w/in the community of people they target. You don’t know who you are talking to on the Internet, really, and should always be careful.
