@Prof_Birch Formal knowledge is produced by academics through a scientific process that leads to a final knowledge "product" as a publication or something else. Knowledge coproduction implies involving other actors in this process, like stakeholders, people, policy makers, etc. This is how I understand it but you can find more details in the article.

@socrates Hi, I suggested this paper because it discusses the concept of knowledge co-production, which is something not well understood in academia yet (or there are several ways to understand it). I think it is worth to read this paper and I am looking forward to other scholars' comments.
