    my take on elasticsearch drama for mastodon: gargron wants to add it because it'll obscure ways to modify your server to receive the horrible "public but hidden" model of private messages. it's also already complete

    other guy is against it because it adds more vectors of attack

    @lnxw48a1 there was a few, but it was more like "i don't care if he lives or not at this point". they did one fight like that was too close to the beginning, then one in the middle where he (spoiler alert) thrown off a cliff in a fight except its obvious he lives because there was no fatal wounds, and then one at the end where he's fighting regular people except somehow he's struggling despite getting shot in the face constantly

    its just bad writing. like they went "we need a bit where people think he's dead" and then they checked that off, and went to the next one. "now he needs to be overcome so someone can help him" check

    i just heard a good comparison for what black panther was. it was essentially a checklist. it had all the good things that make a superhero movie, it just wasn't good on screen.

    during the entire movie i felt absolutely nothing. i just sat there and stared at the screen. it was a decently made movie, it just didn't take a single risk.

    I'm declaring tomorrow to be National Water Cleansing Day. The more time water is run through the filters in the water system, the more clean it should be. So, we should leave all our taps running tomorrow to loop the water through the system as many times as possible! That way, we will have very clean water.
