They're extremely susceptible to shock
Their GI tract can stop moving when they're stressed which is a death sentence
Their fur is often so fine and dense it cannot dry, meaning they can be left cold and susceptible to hypothermia.

All those 'cute' memes of rabbits being given baths is animals being mistreated. In the case of that one lying on its back in a sink, it's actually being tortured (it's tranced, cannot move, thinks it will die).

@mal @wintgenstein I really hoped it was just a small thing and would go away. This whole idea it's a word said from anger at oppressors ignores just how much it's used to erase people from within the community.
Idk if it's more of an American thing where it's meant to be empowering but I see it used for erasure a lot here. I know I'm not alone being hurt by it. 😬
