The #Fediverse and #Metaverse are like water and sodium. They are fundamentally incompatible with each other and can never be integrated in a way that benefits both (when corporate and community-owned things come together it will always benefit the corporate side at the expense of the community-owned side). Anyone who claims they can work together has either been maliciously misinformed or is maliciously misinforming you.

Remember at the height of #covid19 lockdown, where the #medical staff were hit by far the worst, Western governments bent over backwards making it known how medical workers were heroes that were literally, not figuratively, keeping the country from collapsing, complete with multimillion dollar nation wide media campaigns and flyovers with jets at the largest hospitals.

But paying medical workers more as they risk their life and sanity to save lives? Now you're just being entitled!

* If the cop fears for their life, you and your dog will get shot.

If there's a school shooting:

* If the cop fears for their life, the mass child murderer doesn't get shot.

@Gatopardo @coloco At least the picture was taken IN CHINA this time. Not like when they "found" a letter from a Uyghur being held captive hidden in a a Nike shoe, and the shoes were made in Vietnam. Or like when they said they had a picture of Uyghur force labour and it was a picture of a factory in Brazil, complete with a Portuguese sign in the corner.

@heikkiket Tech is filled with acronyms. Things like HTTP and HTML are already in the common vernacular. I don't see the problem.

@fribbledom Back when processor designs could be understood by one person. There's a reason those old chips are still used as examples to teach microarchitecture in universities. Good times.

@fribbledom Firefox occasionally loses the data in my browser extensions. When you have script and tracker blockers with a hundred custom rules for different websites, THAT'S true pain.
