Antiauthoritarian New Years, Newroz, commemoration in Sweden yesterday dedicated to Jîna.

Some scenes from one of the antiauthoritarian feminist guerrillas YRK and HPJ (whose slogan "Women! Life! Freedom!" has spread from them to be the main slogan of the ongoing antiauthoritarian feminist uprisings against the regime throughout all of Iran) celebrations in Rojhelat (Iran-held part of Kurdistan) for the ongoing antiauthoritarian New Years, Newroz.

I cut out >10 minutes of speeches and interviews, declaring this the year of struggle and liberation, victory for the spirit of "Women! Life! Freedom!", etc.

At the antiauthoritarian New Years, Newroz, celebration today in the villages Chorr/Chur and Nene/Naneh near the town Merîwan/Marivan in Rojhelat (eastern) Kurdistan/W Iran.

Being ignored like that would make the brutally sexist Iran-regime very, very angry. ;-)

Newroz now in Urmia/Orumieh of Rojhelat/NW Iran.

The regime's "security" force has been individually threatening at least hundreds of people to not participate in these antiauthoritarian New Years celebrations, under threat of imprisonment (or worse), reported the Hengaw Human Rights Org a few days ago already.

It... doesn't seem like it worked.

Another lovely "fuck you to dictatorship and sexism" for New Years, Newroz, now in the village Kûran, Rojhelat/NW Iran, just a bit north of the one in the previous toot.
It has ~1k residents so about double the size of the village in the previous toot.

Lovely celebration of Newroz in the little village Kani Rash, Rojhelat/NW Iran, between Lake Urmia and the border claimed by Turkey.

At least several tens of people were imprisoned after the previous Newroz-celebrations because people danced without regime-imposed gender segregation and women had uncovered hair.

in spite of many months of worst repression by the Iran-regime, probably among the cities 3 worst afflicted by acts the UN today said "may amount to crimes against humanity".

Nowruz is the bringer of freedom

Nowruz arrived for 1402 with the call of freedom.
The streets were filled with the slogan of freedom, "women, life, freedom" and death to the dictator.

This year, both nature and society are working together to transform winter and darkness into spring and light.

We came through 1401. A year full of sadness, filled with the pain of losing the dearest lives. But at the same time, a year full of hope for transformation, a year of the greatest determination and collective will of humanity, which promise spring and prosperity.

The New Year celebrations are a continuation of the revolution and this revolution represents the deepest transformation for the entire human society.
A revolution that clearly shows it is time for us the people to put an end to elite rule over society and all tyranny, exploitation and subjugation, and start on a new plan.

The Free Trade Union of Iran congratulates all freedom-loving and egalitarian people on the arrival of Nowruz.

On Nowruz, we will be with the families of the loved ones who died in our revolution and we will turn the coming year into a year of fulfilling their dreams.

The Iran-regime's repression forces were shooting teargas, shotguns and kalashnikovs at the people in Bukan of Rojhelat/NW Iran, maybe about an hour ago to stop them from celebrating the new year,

After a few days of reports of fires having been started on several continents for the explicitly antiauthoritarian New Years event between March 19-22 by the (worldwide most commonly used) Gregorian calendar, the Kurdish/Persian/Iranian Newroz/Nowruz, here's a video published ½ hour ago from a Newroz event taking place in Exeter, Cornwall, U.K.

The current year is 2722 Kurdish and 1401 Iranian.
