Perhaps there ought to be something like a maximum delta of inequality, whereby nobody is allowed to become richer than a hard-coded number of times the earnings of the lowest-paid workers. Then if the fatcats wanted more the only way they could get it would be by improving the lot of the people "beneath" them.

Technically, Bucket Time isn't really necessary at this time of year. But should we cancel it we would most definitely be subject to indignant baaing, so it remains.

Sheep are frightened of 'the monster'!

(The sheep haven't yet got used to how Autumn looks with her new fly mask on, and when she approaches they retreat to a safe distance and confer nervously amongst themselves).

It's the tiny things, like watching (streaming) telly and the bloody adverts always have a higher volume than whatever you're actually watching. Just making the experience a bit less pleasant so that somebody, somewhere has a bit more money.

Enshittification. I've moaned about it before but Doctorow's word describes it perfectly, the way that capitalism inevitably pushes things further and further in a smeg direction so that maximal money can be extracted.

These sheep are at the point of maximal fluff. Soon they will be reset and won't be as fluffy for another year.
