@hikerus I start to suspect a setting is stored wrong somehow, could you take a printscreen of the settings in the registry? I would like to see what defaults it stores on your end. -

Thank you,
Could you do one more test please? Disable the 'public' tab in the settings, and see if that helps.
Things like that is very hard to debug.. Often it's a server side issue. But yaics should not crash even if it *was* a server side issue, So it would be nice to try and figure out what's going wrong. -

Do you have 'attachment images' enabled when you test both accounts? -

@hikerus Ok, thanks for checking. You haveĀ this issue after resetting the settings?
Do you have 'show attached' images enabled? -

@hikerus
Is there a chance you could run it from command line first and send me the output? I would be interested to see if I can see why it crashes in the first place.
On windows it's a bit messy, you have to go into regedit, then search for 'yaics' all the settings are there, just delete the yaics 'folder' in registry and it'll go back to defaults. -

@pati thank you! And same to tou :) I'm doing great, just the rest of this week and next before I get 4 weeks of vacation, really excited about that. Been very very busy at work this year so it'll be nice to slow down and take a break :) how are things going on your end? -

Finally I have everything running on CentOS 7, latest kernel, nvidia driver, steam and all my development tools. So now I'm up and running on that.
Very happy with my setup.
Was a pain in the ass to get everything working, but now I have a script that does most of it. so that feels great.
Only thing now I do not have installed yet is the cuda libraries so that I can compile blender with GPU support, I'll do that this weekend. Also I need to get playonlinux up and running with wine staging so that I can play some of my windows-only games on there too. -

@hikerus nice! Furthest I've been north is Bergen (I live all the way south in Kristiansand ). My sister moved to Northern Norway recently so I hope to visit her there next year, would be a nice roadtrip through Norway with my family :) Lofoten is definitely on my list over places to visit. -

@hikerus I live by the ocean, but we have a camper about one hour away, and that's where the mountains start to get big, so we usually head up there then go on further.
There are a lot of trails around there, so plenty of plases to hike. :) -

Sleepless night, my brain is on high gear for some reason, only 6 hours until I have to get up for work, so I expect to have a lot of espressos tomorrow :p -

the default kernel is 3.10, and the one you can get installed through elrepo is 4.12, so that's what I'm doing now. fingers crossed. -

also I do not consider it 'more dangerous' if the police wants you data. if they ask for the passprase - I have nothing to hide, but that does not mean I want my data freely avaliable for anyone to take either. So until that day comes - alll my data stays safely encrypted. -

there is no options for that in the bios, every other OS works fine.
Ubuntu had this exact same problem a while ago, and it pissed off a lot of people (including me).
