@paulfree14 It means that the database is growing, but those are only text messages. PostgreSQL can handle this without any problems. Todon.nl now has a database size of 7,65 GB.
The bottleneck is disk storage, although on Todon.nl there is a lot of space. And if it gets to high in the future, it is easy to remove the cached remote images.
The most resource heavy elements are RAM and CPU, but Todon.nl has enough of that.

@Irick I have no problem those marks are there, but logic is that it is also used for language filtering. And I think an option to disable those marks all together would be good thing, cause not everyone needs to be reminded about their filters. IMO. @Gargron @maloki

@Gargron Yes that it is simpler as of course true, but for an end-user filtering is filtering.
IMO using the 'filtering' marks on the timelines only makes sense when it is done for all filters or not at all. An option to disable those marks (for all filters) would be great (yes I can also use CSS for that).
I'm curious about other peoples opinion.

@Gargron Ok that makes sense, but why adding 'filtering'. I think when people want to filter things out, they don't want to be reminded all the time there is something filtered. Remember that language filtering and the old regexp didn't show 'filtered' as well.

Two remarks though:
1. I don't understand why 'Irreversible filtering' (Drop) won't work in public timelines. I can imagine people don't want to look to 'filtered' all the time and now they can't hide those words. Why is that even there? It isn't used for language filtering, so there is no logic here IMO.
2. This is actually a idea. Why not moving the language filters to the 'Filters' section? Language filters are after all filters too.

@doorbraak @rick_777 I agree, it's difficult to compare. Also because there is some difference between EU member states and I guess US states. But AFAIK in the EU they didn't systematically separated children from their parents, but I wouldn't be surprised that countries like for example Hungary, Poland and Italy wouldn't care to do that also.
