@kaniini @emsenn China is gonna do that no matter what because it’s China. They aren’t gonna use blocking gab as precident because they are China and don’t need precident they just have to threaten to ban google if they don’t get their way

@kaniini @emsenn that’s a meaningless statement fascists are gonna show you the door no matter what the rules are

@kaniini @emsenn I still don’t and never will buy the argument that blocking nazis means you have to block dissidents. They only called for a gab block because gab is responsible for mass violence and the media put pressure on google

@kaniini @emsenn you can’t have fascists in a free society and it stay free. This goes for software ecosystems too.

@kaniini @emsenn there’s a false equivalency there. No fascists government is going to make you block fascist apps. Democratic nations like Germany might under their anti-nazi laws. Freedom 0 doesn’t take the paradox of tolerance into account

Love too catch up on the fediverse, or as it is known to instance admins "the endless feed of instances you need to block"

New Ravelry policy forbids users to post in any way in support of Trump and his administration. Details are here:

(And yes, they’re explicitly following in RPG.net’s footsteps.)

TFW a knitting site takes a harder stance against Nazis than a good amount of the fediverse

And it looks to me like i can make my antifascist licence enforcable *as a contract* if it includes an option to buy a commercial licence for the software.

So, I hear the maintainers of #Tusky, my #Mastodon client of choice, have chosen to take responsibility for how their software is being used. Good! Let this be the start of a new era in free software.
