Well, sure its not over yet, but do you really think it can change that much? Imo it will be some cosmetics but the general idea will stay. Already now some politicians claim that they wished the project was accepted in its original state.
Of course we need to do our best to try to change it but experience tells me we can win little things that are irrelevant in big picture, just to give people the feeling they achieved something. 😰

Seems like reshares are problematic, therefor until stuff between hubzilla and mastodon gets sorted we will post via mastodon (as we did last night) separately.

For those that say they cant see any posts when they check the disroot@hub.disroot.org profile, its because you need to follow it first (thats how it works). Hopefully when hubzilla implements posting to mastodon relay this will change.

@kithop Yeah its really an issue. I wonder what could be done. We really want to avoid double posting specially when hubzilla federates with all protocols out there.

At least the blog posts we could post seperatelly with just link to the website (even setup a bot for that).

@kithop hmmm.... like we suspected you dont see disroot community posts boosted by disroot mastodon account (like in the screenshot we attached).

@deadsuperhero Yes we are aware of that. But what is the most important to us is to not have to post in few different places the same text as it gets messy and its extra work.

We hope the recent relay in mastodon will help getting more exposure.

We do have a feeling hubzilla posts we boost with our mastodon account arent seen by people. check attached pic (do you see the posts form DIsroot commity boosted by disroot-mastodon account? are you following disroot masto account?

Question to mastodon users.
Since we are heavy hubzilla users we post now everything via hubzilla. In that way with one post we cover the entire fediverse (diaspora, friendica, gnysocial, mastodon, and all activitypub stuff).

Do you guys see those reshares (people that follow us on mastodon account)?

@phoe seems like our webmail does too many concurent requests in peak time (nowish). we've restarted it so it should be fine, but we'll look into more permanent solution.

💾 Switching off nextcloud end-2-end encryption app for 24h period.💾

Due to possible issue with end-to-end encryption we are planning to switch off end-2-end encryption app for 24 hours to observe the server load in various moments of the day without the app enabled (we have reasons to believe the app is causing recent server load). Barely any. We were shocked as to how small footprint it has. The only thing you can expect is google blocking you when too many bots start querying stuff through your instance. We recommend deploying filtron (developed by same folks) to prevent abuse by various bots.

@gerd yes that could be. In any case, if you notice some domains constantly being delayed (sometimes those small domains use big thirdparty services) please let us know, so we can whitelist.

Check the thread addressing this in the link. If you however keep getting delayed from the same domain it might be due to the domain in question sending emails from different servers each time. In that case contact us to put the domain in question on the whitelist.
