We review new user requests on daily basis. You should have gotten either welcome or denial email. Unless you havent finish the process properly. I would suggest requesting account again.

Those are set by default already for all new users (old accounts that used hubzilla in the past would need to enable it manually).
We do experience some very annoying bug with hubzilla rendering it awfully unstable at the moment.

And yeah just repeating what @dazinism said, our instance is still in beta (hence not listed officially) but usable if you want to look around, though beware of issues, not polished UI/UX and downtimes

🔩 Platform downtime for server hardware maintenance 🔩

Today evening (Amsterdam local time CEST) we will commence some hardware maintenance. This means we will need to put all servers down fo that time. Expected downtime depends on how fast we manage to do everything and if we won't encounter issues along the way. We hope to be finished with everything within an hour.

We are actually working together with the best howto team on the planet on streamlining the texts, updating and writing new tutorials.
The end goal is to create texts that could easily be adapted to any project (by simply "sed'ing" the url and name only and replacing images).

Also we are going to start heavily translating howtos (decided to use weblate rather then pure git to make it easier for people to join.

You mean like 'Correct horse' type of passwords. It sure is possible, but due to update some time ago it looks like the check for common words has been re-enabled. Thanks for reporting. It should be fixed now.

We'll also change the text on password requirements later on.

Yeah we are having some issues with hubzilla we are trying to work it out with devs.

🔥 Nextcloud bookmarks app disabled 🔥

Due to a bug causing server crash in connection to bookmark app usage, we have disabled it temporarily. We do have an idea on what might be going on and will investigate the issue asap.

@Jaydeejoe We've sent emails to all users affected by this, so if you have not gotten one, it means you are safe. it was not many users and seems like it was mostly notification and other not important emails (not all emails during the outage have been wiped as we realised the mistake immediately and stopped it), but probably few emails were important and thats why we wanted to be sure people know what happens.
