@kkarhan@monocles Well yes I have noticed it. I used it for a while, but the rooms take a while to load, of course they are thousandths of a second. Something that, for example, is not noticeable in Conversations.
Of course, it is not something to completely discard an application, or call it bad. It was just a small detail that can be improved.
@kkarhan more than just making it easier. They became more visible for their benefits, stability and ability to encrypt conversations. And of course, an increase in user activity and new rooms. The latter in both English speaking and Spanish speaking rooms.
@kkarhan Maybe it was exaggerated with the forgotten, but relegated.
Whether it's because of the IMs that arrive, fashion, marketing or because "not everyone" is in xmpp. It's a question of focus. But of course we continue to fight.
Malvertising Nightmare: A single ad network has been weaponized to target users with fake CAPTCHA scams, stealing credentials and money from thousands every day.
What’s happening? 🖥️ Over 3,000+ websites funnel traffic to malicious CAPTCHA pages. 💾 Victims unknowingly run dangerous PowerShell commands. 💸 Accounts and funds drained through info-stealing malware like Lumma.
@Herne Well yes, it goes that way, one of its main cons. Bad publicity, many because it has origins in Israel (the label "privacy" is a word manipulated much in its favor. In addition to the war against Palestine), others because of the complications it has to be able to set up a server and decentralize, etc. Something that on the other extreme, with xmpp, does not happen (of course it has its learning curve, but it is not so big).@az
@Herne Well, it really is like that. Matrix has strong reasons to be an IM that fights at the mainstream level, although with somewhat damaged roots. While xmpp has that particularity, it always causes a love-hate relationship.
