@bobjonkman @jezra my only issue with debian is the lack of a pretty theme out of the box. it's all vanilla (which is generally the point). i don't like to futz with my machines much anymore so i look for a distro with as many defaults that match my personal preferences as possible to minimize fiddling.

Snaps are a big reason why I chose mint the last time I distrohopped. I hope to move my servers off Ubuntu eventually, too. Just unsure of what I'll use instead. Been considering opensuse again but it's been years since I used that.
