@andrewstroehlein It's a trade suggestion from Putin. Trump will let Putin take Ukraine and Putin will then let Trump take Greenland. China will be happy as long as they will be allowed to take Taiwan.
Looks like my dear Polish friends can't afford to renew my contract after 28 February, largely because of what the Russian invasion of Ukraine has done to the cost of running a large public institution with a lot of buildings. So my new year's resolution is to find a new job, one where I get to put on pants in the morning and commute to a workplace where there are other people whom I collaborate with. 1/2
Today, on the penultimate day of ceramics class, I got back my lidded urn. This was glazed with the wood ash glaze i made with the ashes i collected from my barbecue.
All this rage against for-profit health insurance is awesome. We clearly see the damages it causes - people literally die - in the name of profit.
But let's not let the anger stop there. The issue isn't in health insurance, it's all insurance.
The only way to "complete" in insurance is to be better than others at denying claims. Insurance can never be provided efficiently, much less equitably, by private industries.
Piece of advice. If you ever take the train to Kamakura. Be REALLY careful before taking an exit. If you take the wrong one (eg you want to transfer to the Enoden line and you get out on the gate opposing the Enoden boarding) JR will literally charge you 150yen to walk from one side of the station to the other lolsob
Aside from the hypersaturated blooms with light filtering through semi-translucent petals, and the breathtaking beauty of the spring time tulips in the Netherlands, there was something else that I noticed and observed in the botanical gardens - the crowds.
The place was jam-packed. Influencers posing, photographers shooting, families, couples. It was as crowded as Disneyworld on a Saturday. There were throngs of people milling around this garden... just to look at tulips. 2/?
