That's exactly what it could be, but out of the three times I've attempted to settle in there, the first had me harassed away from the platform while the second and this time depress me with the focus on Twitter.

I'm not going to get too fired up about this here. But I really want to say that I'm here just to try to relax a bit and talk about what I'm doing.

Whatever happens happens.

I have a tough time with Mastodon. I'm going to use it. But every time I login all I see is competitive snark about Twitter.

This makes Mastodon feel like Left Gab to me.

Mastodon is not "eventually going to beat Twitter." I don't even understand why that is what's on so many people's minds. The reason to use Mastodon, I would think, is to be in a place you can think, interact, organize, and exist with less bullshit.

@Gargron Here's the thing, you can't pre-emptively warn everyone that people are spreading BS, and often the BS manages to reach people without any context. Often the BS is being pushed out to as many people as possible, trying to find people who will believe and carry the BS. It's often a numbers game played behind the scenes, unfortunately.
