Source code for the MS-DOS port of Blupimania has been released:

I didn't notice at first, but the game wasn't functioning correctly. It actually looks for some 200LX system files in a pre-defined location, and if it doesn't find them then it still runs, but is missing its main gameplay mechanic of collecting codes to open doors. Fixed now.

@silvermoon82 While the animated subtitles are cool, I still don't like the International Cut.

Unfortunately the cool screen melting effect when you bump into a squid is not emulated. 😞

I've learned that the 2007 comedy film "My Name is Bruce" starring and directed by Bruce Campbell isn't available for streaming anywhere (in the US,) and that the DVD and Blu-ray are out of print.

@Fleedar Actually there is an alternative solution, use the 3D full body capture rig, like the recent The 7th Guest remake, but they wouldn't be able to do that in-house, obviously.
But it looks like they are trying. At least they are capturing enough data here, including facial capture. We'll see what happens.

So from what I'm gathering the Riven remake will feature 3D motion captured performances of actors synced to audio recordings made during the production of the original. 🤔 And they are adding two completely new characters as well.
