Every time I want to buy a phone, I realize there's going to be major breakthroughs that make current phones shit. Like, right now:

👉 AI/ML and AR/VR are reaching maturity
👉 Battery performance is likely to become the next big trend (yes, phone companies are running out of ideas so they now have to work on useful features, apparently)
👉 Cameras getting 4K support is already a thing
👉 AV1 is almost finished and SoCs are going to be developed with native decoding (or even encoding) support

The studies, because I lately feel constantly afraid to do any kind of work, like an exam or some homework, and it's because I've been for so long not doing them (because I had a bad time at Bachillerato and then did my Associate Degree without working and now I'm at the uni and oh shit I'm not ready). For my online presence, because it turns out people don't have to abandon me (like, it can be in their own selfish interest) because I just don't talk much or do much overall. :thinking_happy:

@anjum No problem, just don't restrict your curiosity like that, there's no freedom compromise needed other than perhaps getting some propiertary software trials for a few days :blobcouple:

@anjum It can always happen that the FOSS program *is* the best program you can pick up in all respects, though. That is still rare outside of the world of dev tools and kernels and so on. But the FOSS tools we do have can still do amazing stuff.
