In theory there's maps.me, but it's now owned by tech giant mail.ru and is full of trackers, so it isn't recommended.

There's a free version of the maps.me app in F-droid though, I think it's just called "Maps"?

I think some people are so used to Twitter automatically turning anything with a . in the middle into a link, that they don't bother with https:// any more.

Sometimes Google Fonts loads even if you don't use it, some blog themes load it automatically. Maybe that's the case here?

However, currently this doesn't work with Pixelfed instances because of a bug. You can follow Mastodon accounts from Pixelfed though.

They just added federation, you can add external contacts by searching for their URL.

There's a bug with pixelfed-pixelfed contacts, but that should hopefully be fixed soon. Pixelfed-Mastodon works in both directions.
