I don't know, maybe @yunohost themselves can offer some advice?

@bencomp @mobilizon @Framasoft
Framasoft contacted GetTogether to suggest collaboration, but apparently they're headed in two significantly different directions, so the projects remained separate.
I think Mobilizon will be more like Facebook Events, while GetTogether is more like MeetUp?

It's the last few hours of crowdfunding for #Mobilizon, a free open federated alternative to Facebook Events:
You can follow it here:
It's already achieved its funding goals for events, groups and ActivityPub federation.
Further funds will go to mobile apps, UI development and advanced maps.
It's backed by @Framasoft , the free software organisation that backed PeerTube and many other alternatives.

You can view all of a person's posts filtered by hashtag by adding "/tagged/" to the end of their public profile address, then adding the hashtag.
For example, here is a link to all of switching.social's posts tagged #MastoTips:
https://mastodon.at/@switchingsocial/tagged/mastotips
This can be very useful for artists wanting to link to a portfolio, or writers wanting to link to articles about a topic.
You can also add these to your public profile page by going to Preferences > Edit Profile > Featured Hashtags

My hours at work have been cut, I will have to start freelancing again or try to get more higher tier Patreon sponsors if I want to keep working on Pixelfed this much.
If you know anyone looking for a full stack laravel developer, let me know!

I'm extremely pleased to launch Run Your Own Social: How to run a small social network site for you friends.
This is a guide book to running a small, tight-knit federated social network server. It comes from my year of experience running Friend Camp. It's focused largely on SOCIAL solutions, though it does touch on the technical.
I've tried to keep it technology-neutral, and it should be a pretty easy read for anyone who's been on the fediverse for a while.

I'm not sure... payments are always difficult, there don't seem to be any obviously good solutions.
They're not self-hosted, and they're more like Patreon than Kickstarter, but the nearest I can suggest are @Liberapay (https://liberapay.com) and #OpenCollective (https://opencollective.com).
(I'll boost your post in case others have more appropriate suggestions.)

Hi Sampson!
Here's my feedback: why does Brave refuse to cut its ties with the head of Palantir? Do you enjoy taking money from the head of a surveillance organisation?
It's the equivalent of an anti-smoking charity being secretly owned by Philip Morris.
I'm guessing you will brush this off, but who a company is owned by is who ultimately controls the company.

Just to make clear, following an account definitely helps federation happen 👍
If you want an account to be more visible on your instance, follow it.

As far as I know, if you follow an account your instance will automatically show the latest posts from that moment onward.
However, I'm not sure how often instances update stats (followers, posts etc) for accounts you follow.

We like to talk about how lightweight #WriteFreely is by saying it's "light enough to run on a Raspberry Pi." But to actually do that, you'd need to go through the work of compiling everything yourself.
Well, not anymore. Now we'll be releasing ARMv7 builds that can run on a Raspberry Pi, starting with WriteFreely v0.10.
Download that build here:
https://github.com/writeas/writefreely/releases/tag/v0.10.0
