En el transcurso de esta semana se ha descubierto un problema bastante grave para ciertos usuarios de Manjaro, sobre todo los que estaban usando el kernel 4.9
Tras una actualización rutinaria como siempre nos encontrábamos con un sistema que no iniciaba, dando error de UUID bastante sorprendente. Yo mismo pensé que sería un simple error de grub porque bien por una letra, clave o cualquier cosa no dejaba encontrar bien las particiones.

Comencé a leer y buscar un poco de info, un poco desesperante y algo fustrado, teniendo mucha confianza en Manjaro para usarlo como plataforma diario de trabajo. Por lo pronto se ve que son varios usuarios que pasan lo mismo.
Comienzo a preguntar a los expertos y todos tiran por el mismo ideal : hacer y rehacer el grub nuevo para que aplique bien los datos, las variables y los permisos oportunos. Todo ello dentro del sistema montado con un live y un chroot en toda regla para que se aplicara correctamente los cambios.

No se conseguía nada y la cosa comenzaba a cansar, desesperar y no saber que proceder. Pero como siempre y mil veces suele pasar lo mejor de todo es dejar teclado, irse a la playa, ver curvas y regresar con mente nueva, despejada y algo más animado, y una vez así llegar a una simple y breve pregunta, ¿y por que no instalo otro kernel nuevo? Pues dicho y hecho, un googlecito por aqui, unas explicaciones por allá, un percatarse que tambien se deben instalar ciertos extras modulos para wifi, para realtek, y pim pam pum la cosa arranca, la cosa sobrevive y Manjaro en producción de nuevo.

El susto ha sido bueno, se aprende y se procede. #pueseso
