@rw
im pissed because when normies are given a blank slate they keep making the same shit they claimed to hate in meatspace. enjoy your hierarchies and laws and identity politics. these things had a reason to exist in meatspace but they have no purpose here except to keep normies comfortable.
like, for the first time ever someone made a system where anarchy is actually a viable concept and then actual anarchists proceed to make subreddits where you get banned for any dissent.
not that im an anarchist but its an example of how no matter what opinions people claim to have they will always fall back to whatever is familiar.

@mono yeah. and every ideology is guilty of it
chans can't fucking succeed because users are retarded, demand stupid shit, and mods are pushovers
cultural collectives keep failing like wikis because users can't separate themselves from politics and nothing gets finished accurately due to talk pages longer than articles
aggregates are failures because they've become free ways to market products and the users are too stupid to realize this. it's meant for content sharing, but you're not allowed to share your own content - only OFFICIAL CONTENT. The points system makes it clique based
here, i've argued with commies anarchists fascists and everyone else for the past year and its kicked ass and i've actually had to learn shit and realize that i'm a fucking moron. if we update standards to where I can't do this anymore i'm done.
The real solution is building a solution with people who won't bend. The point of success though shows an individuals true resolve, so how can we know someone won't.

@dolus @strypey This has actually been proven, too, by analyzing the words and history of those that made accusations.
Zoe Quinn claimed to have "ran to Europe to escape GamerGate" in Fall 2014. The reality was the trip was planned well in advance, at least 3 months prior to the situation kicking off.
Brianna Wu claimed to have "been chased from their home" during GamerGate, but analyzing photos they had posted against video conferencing they were doing while they claimed to not be at their home revealed... they were lying.
Point is, it's a misnomer to call it "harassment" when you're accused of something and the only way to dig up proof to vindicate is to use the words of the scam artists themselves, since the media wasn't interested in casting a critical eye and a desire for actually getting to the bottom of any stories being told.
You know, the truth.

@dolus @strypey I'm actually dealing with the same thing right now with a guy who pretended to be a girl since before GamerGate and through GamerGate that is now taking plays out of that playbook.
They claimed before to have cancer, surviving a random assault and now the claim that they're homeless and living in a hotel to try to get money out of people. All the while they have a paypal, a patreon and a gofundme running. Thing is the gofundme is of a "former boyfriend" and the person that claims to run the Twitter account isn't pictured at all. And each of the other money accounts are ran by other people so they don't have their name attached to it.
They use the same picture over and over, not date/time stamped and not even "username" stamped to the prove the person pictured is the person behind the account. And when they get people to give money they send nude pictures of themselves which don't resemble the first entity pictured.
So keeping track of this someone like strypey may call "stalking". That's super unfair because the reality is:
1. I'm making effort to keep people from being scammed
2. Some girl is being associated with this without her knowledge
3. Some OTHER girl's nudes are being tossed about without her knowledge
And aGG like strypey want me to sit back in fear of being called "a harasser" to not put a nail in this person's scam? To protect well meaning people AND actual women?
Nah, fuck that. All ahead stern.
