This weekend I'm test driving a Polestar 2.
It's Swedish electric car with pretty good performance. The rental costs $60 per day (plus a bunch of fees).

But I have no idea where to go charge it... will it be compatible with the Tesla superchargers? 😨
Cool name even if it sounds like a stripper.
Still better than those Zippo ("lights every time") Teslas.
@amerika 🤣
@penguin42 I found a charging station in the parking garage at work 😌
@codewiz In the US, not yet - see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZOuz_laH9I
The US Teslas use a non-standard charging port, but they're talking about supporting the others on someplaces.
@codewiz the PlugShare app is how I locate public chargers with the standard CCS (level 3) or J1772 (level 2) plugs
@Tanuki Thanks! I also found that I can search for them on Google Maps, but the majority are Tesla Superchargers.
Ah! There's an option to filter by plug type. Awesome! @Tanuki
Even in the home state of Tesla, there are plenty enough J1772 plugs around here. @Tanuki
@penguin42 I'm guessing AC, since the DC connector has a different shape.
But the voltage is too high for the AC Level 1 range and too low for the AC Level 2...
@codewiz 195V AC??
@greypilgrim Good guess, Wikipedia says that Polestar is a sub-brand of Volvo!
@codewiz Looks pretty attractive. Also has a Volvo look, which I think makes sense if it’s Swedish (and my memory isn’t off).
