I love the extra sets of "retro" caps. There's an extractor tool to make them easy to swap.

Too bad #System76 didn't include a Ctrl key with the right shape to replace the useless Caps Lock key!

@codewiz The launch lite without the row with F-keys would make things very hard here, I switch with [mod]+[F-something] all the time to other virtual screens in the sway window manager.

@AAMfP I didn't notice until yesterday, but the #System76 Launch Lite firmware *is* QMK based:

It would have been even nicer if they'd been QMK-compatible, instead of "wasting" man power for their own configurator, but indeed a nice keyboard.

For some reason, the default layout of the #system76 Launch keyboard has Alt-Fn-Super rather than the more canonical Fn-Super-Alt for PC keyboards.

Here is how it compares to my trusty Happy Hacker Keyboard, on which I typed almost every day for the past 15 years 🥲

The layout chosen by #System76 also differs from regular Mac keyboards and canonical PC keyboards.

I wonder if they were trying to make Ctrl and Alt easier to reach with the pinky?

But I always remap Ctrl to Caps, so I can move Fn there. On keyboards without the F-key row, the Fn key gets used often.

This keyboard is really interresting. But I'd never use it. Too much finger travel.

Less is more. I have a keyboard with low key count and layers. This is game changer as it brings all keys close. So finger travel is minimized. And it changes everything.
