#cooperativas#coop
TL/DR: - Ruby (Rails) + JavaScript (React) mostly - 16~32 hours per week, your discretion. - $66.10~$96.14/hr (With a cap of $120k/yr; so 24 hours/wk at top-end) - Building software that's used in classrooms around the world to nurture self-actualization from an early age.
It's a ~10 person collectively-managed team that is carefully, intentionally, and deliberately moving towards being a worker #coop.
The web platform and the apps to manage your bike delivery activity. Made according to the needs and feedback of our members that are cycling daily with it.
Our software is open and dedicated to coops only - discover why and how."
Going through the messy process of trying to come up with company values at the start up org where I currently work. Anyone have good resources on #workplaceculture and #workplacevalues? Of course I'm coming in strong with the #coop#nonhierarchical#liberatory vibes and I'd love to convert my team ;)
Update #copyright laws and open up real competition! Tech tians prevent their own disruption by a perverted interpretation of the #DMCA, argues @doctorow
"experts warned US Congress that DMCA 1201 was way too broad and would be ripe for abuse, as software crept into more systems.
#Uber & #Lyft can use DMCA 1201 to stop you from figuring out how to use them to locate #coop drivers, and they can use the #CFAA to stop you from flipping your booking from Uber to MetaUber"
hey #coop friends! what are your favorite platforms for decentralized decision-making? #loomio has neat voting features, but it seems like you can't organise threads into categories. discourse might be better for discussion but with limited polling features. what do you use and why?
So, tell me, who among your followees i have to follow? Who has the #history stuff, the #tech stuff, the social #coop stuff, the stuff stuffing stuff? #followerpower
Puzzled . . @mako makes a clear pitch on "Free software production needs free tools" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_nK6nP_RCY&feature=youtu.be And is very clear on #commons and #P2P (though says most code comes from solo not collaboration!). Yet not a hint of coop ownership of #platforms to keep tools honest & open (GitHub!). Surely tools today become platforms? And platforms require collaboration even if code doesn't? So why doesn't #coop follow automatically, as we talk tools? How does libre not equal coop in FLOSS world?
