    ActivityPub can be confusing and/or hard to test or develop against.

    I started a new side project called FediDB to help Pixelfed and other implementations debug federation issues.

    It will be launching soon, need to test DMs and Federated Stories in Pixelfed 😅

    I'm eager to work with other projects on this!

    @licho !gnusocial Does GSNO use the "Store Remote Media" plugin? Some instances do not use it because of disk capacity or legal fears.

    Como ex admin de mamalibre.com.ar manteniendo servicios/redes libres federadas. Unos consejos que adquiri en esa experiencia.

    1) es de suma importancia subir videos 3gp por default de celulares minimo 30 segundos

    2) audios deben tambien poder subir con el formato por defecto de la grabadora de sonido de android.

    podes manejar la sibrecarga del server con cron. Cada 3 meses con una politica de borrado automaticamnete que se borren. Con eso evitarias sobrecarga en la red y servidor. Policita de cache es fundamental...esos dos archivos a la primera reproduccion deben quedar cacheado en el navegador web. Asi la segunda reproducción no saturaria el server.

    Esto es fundamental para redes sociales libres y federadas.

    ejemplo de situación: " pasa algo en la callé y quieres grabarlo para luego subirlo como testimonio" no podras si los admines no admiten esos 2 formatos.

    En ex mamlibre.com.ar pense en ello por eso los permiti.

    @licho #Mastodon 3.x and #Pleroma 2x no longer speak the #OStatus federation protocol. !GNUsocial 2.0 will add the #ActivityPub federation protocol, so ask your admin to be ready to upgrade soon.

    @xrevan86 @diogo One of users reported that #AndStatus app doesn't work with the new #GnuSocial server "v.2.0..x dev". I started investigation and see that /api/statusnet/config.json API point now returns 404. Looking in current Source code of the server I see that the API is documented now as /api/gnusocial/config.json - but that returns 404 also...

    So the question is did Client API change radically or the server is simply broken, or... ?
    And where can we see any info on Client to Server API changes / current docs?

    Este nodo en el q estamos, por ejemplo, el gnusocial.cc , no federa por que NO ha actualizado a 2.0 dev que es la nueva version de #GNUsocial que lleva #ActivityPub pero si federa con los nodos de #Mastodon anteriores a 3.0 que aun tienen #Ostatus- Los nodos #Mastodon al actualizar a 3.0 pieden Ostatus y no federaban a menos que el nodo de GNUsocial este en 2.0 dev que s la version que justo ahora esta en desarrollo y probando.
    Federan los nodos de version inferior de GNUsocial 2.0 dev con los nodos de versiones inferiores de Mastodon 3.0 por que aun conservan #Ostatus y ahora federan los nodos de #Mastodon con versiones iguales o superiores a 3.0 con iguales o superioes de #GNUsocial 2.0 dev por que tienen #ActivityPub
