for instance, this neat little trick to run a web server works in both IPv6 and IPv4:

I can guarantee now people on Debian will be pretty confused by the time they jump into Debian 12

take that as criticism of Debian’s pace, criticism of GNOME’s lack of concern about breaking old design patterns, or people being dumb, but existing + incoming changes pretty much hint at that
