Did some SurviveTest, played with some mods, and one crashed. And I found myself at 0,0,0, choking to death. Managed to tunnel up and out from inside a giant goddamned mountain (probably not that long a tunnel if I knew where the cliff edge was). Could've teleported, but took a long walk home anyway.
More dungeons, get back to those later.
First cactus!
Fucking pyramids are overrun with mummies! I couldn't find the spawner, but did find a treasure chest, poor loot.

If you're new to #fediverse, here's what I can tell you:
1. Set your avatar, write a bio. Put your interests in there.
2. Toot (what we call posts) at least an #introduction
3. THEN you can follow people, see Local or Federated timelines or look thru follows/mentions.
4. When you write something good, pin it. Read pinned posts to know who and what people are. I'm amused by people faving all my pins, but it's a little noisy.
5. CW ANYTHING someone might be bugged by. ESPECIALLY politics.
@fribbledom A simulation would just look like everything's expanding indefinitely so we can't get there and break out of the sim. Until "they" turn us off.
Played a little of Survivetest

Which seems like a really nice MTG-plus-mods, not mineclone.
I haven't seen a lot of monsters despite the tagline, tho, just heard them underground.

@fribbledom @mahartma I think maybe moving things should leave a . . . vapor trail behind them for a few frames, movement on ASCII screens is hard to see.
@fribbledom The Kids Today™ don't read man pages because they weren't taught to use the command line in the first place. For the original UNIX users, `apropos foo` or `man bar` is your first stop.
@urusan @saxnot @fribbledom Go was literally designed as a prison:
The key point here is our programmers are Googlers, they’re not researchers. They’re typically, fairly young, fresh out of school, probably learned Java, maybe learned C or C++, probably learned Python. They’re not capable of understanding a brilliant language but we want to use them to build good software. So, the language that we give them has to be easy for them to understand and easy to adopt.—Rob Pike

@thegibson You know what's not powered by Ethereum? IRC. After 35-ish years, it's still the crap that works.
