interru (interru@social.interru.io)'s status on Wednesday, 01-Jun-2022 19:27:43 UTC interru @fribbledom and that's why I prefer btrfs raid1(cx) for home setups because it just creates x copies of each extent with checksums to multiple disks instead of creating mirrors or striping with parity.
When a HDD is dead, replacement is absolute simple and fast. You don't even need a new drive as replacement as long as you have still enaugh space and drives to ensure redundancy. Just rebalance.
