GNU social and postActiv are both AGPLv3, so if you want something in there beyond what I or Mikael (or anyone else) are working on presently, you can go ahead and add it yourself!
If you're not willing to put in the work to do it yourself on the other hand, well... too bad, I guess. -

I wonder if any of the people reinventing the wheel to emulate GS will ever come close to having even half of GS' features. There's a reason I forked it rather than reimplemented it. There's years of work in making something like that, especially if you're working alone. -
