@windigo I went to a conference years ago about spam and since then promised myself never to run a mail server. But.. now with these new fandangled docker images, perhaps.

Muy poco se habla del individuo que atento contra el bus en Dortmund. No vaya ser que demasiada gente sepa que no era una acción del grupo islamista.

It's so annoying that ssh uses "-p" and scp uses "-P" for specifying port numbers. First world problems.

I see a mastadon site at noagendasocial.com I used to be a $5 donor way back before I realized that I wasn't an anarco-capitalist.

What is GNU Social and is Mastodon Social a “Twitter Clone”? https://quitter.no/url/1069371

So, could it really be that the Syrian gas attack was a false flag? This crazy fucker seems to think there's a connection between all this random shit that's been going down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HMyPy94blk

I just tried http://somsants.net/url/35262 with mastodon. I doesn't work. :( I still think some sort of plug in for gnusocial that rebuilds conversations is good idea. Since shitposter and now even more with mastodon, I don't want to see all those people on my timeline, and I've come to appreciate broken conversations.. But, a little button somewhere on the interface that rebuilss the conversations I choose whould be a bonus. I sort of started programming gnusocial-browser with that in mind but it's now obvious a better undertanding of the api is required.

Dons sí, per la part de la adició, reconec que el fet de 'postear', en el moment de fer-ho, hi ha una petita clímax emocional associat. Sempre ho he sabut però ara em qüestiono.
A mes a mes, hi ha altres coses de la xarxes que me provoquen dubtes. La frivolització de les relacions humanes. Lo atomatització de la societat.
També, si fa 50 anys era el cura que te delatava a les feixistes, ara som nosaltres mateixos.

@luke Is that for your leg?
-
@lambadalambda Yeah, @gargron instead pushes privacy by obscurity as the general direction. !GNUsocial just accepts that federation in a public, web space simply should be public. The easier it is to see how it works, the easier it is to understand how to be safe and secure.
-
@lolkat @djsundog one big problem with mastodon user discoverability is that there is no real public timeline that you can see without being logged in. In gnu social, you can just see the public timelines right away (see pleroma.heldscal.la) and find new people to follow that way.

Everyone see this? https://staltz.com/an-off-grid-social-network.html

@nds I think most people want to be on a social network to be seen. We post because we want people to read us... and like us. There's a little 'thrill' associated with each post. This is the addicting part of the network that keeps us coming back. I tried twister and it felt too much like email. I think that's an obstacle for p2p social networks.
