@InvaderXan "But I own my TV" cry the petite bourgeoisie as the TV manufacturers stop updating the proprietary OSes in their 3-year-old "smart" TVs and leave massive security vulnerabilities in them as a result in order to make users buy new ones.
It never was your watch. All tech gadgets are never yours. Fitbit is a gadget you never really needed in the first place. Google taking over fitbit does not change anything. Trash your gadgets and stop crying. Or keep buying and accept being watched.

Hey! What's the single board computer that isn't a raspberry pi world look like right now?
I'm especially interested in low end/cheap stuff.
Does anything exist in the sub$10 range that is worth looking at? Ideally with on board storage?
I want to put together some set top boxes for playing media and games, as cheaply as possible. (I have two other related projects as well, I might talk about them in a few minutes, but something like a Chip is what I'm after.)
I'm looking for some motivated computer programmers to learn and collaborate with.
I am the sole developer at my job, and the (mostly) sole developer for all of my side projects; and to be frank, I've been lonely.
My goals are to further study mathematics and computer programming fundamentals in order to become a true professional and not just some "guy who makes webapps". I want to contribute meaningfully to my field and the world.
"Thereâs no good reason for any of this. These arenât cutting-edge interactive applications; theyâre pages with text on them. We used to print those on paper, but as soon as we made the leap to computers, it became impossible to put words on a screen without executing several megabytes of custom junk?" https://eev.ee/blog/2016/03/06/maybe-we-could-tone-down-the-javascript/
@lohang Could also be fault of the postal service also. In #Brazil's Consumer Protection and Defense Code (pt-BR: CĂłdigo de ProteçÄo e Defesa do Consumidor, CPDC or CDC) the person that should be receiving the package or parcel can also demand some action from their local Program/Procurer for Consumer Defense.
Sri Lanka Telecom not only failed to provide a functional website to register for the so-called ebill service; they also disconnected our phone/broadband/TV without delivering the bills. We received two bills days later. It was the worst service we had during the lockdown period.

But #Scoop, #theSpinoff, and now #Stuff, show us that there are other ways media organisations can be owned, managed, and even funded. A brave government would set up a media democracy commission, with antitrust powers to break up struggling media empires, instead of subsidizing their investors at public expense. The broken up entities could be sold to their workers or their audiences/ communities, or both, using the most suitable option from a standardized set of cooperative ownership models.
