Microsoft says encryption laws make companies wary of storing data in Australia - https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-03-28/microsoft-says-companies-are-no-longer-comfortable-storing-data/10946494 - I agree, but the same scrutiny should be applied when storing data on servers owned/operated by a US company, see #CloudAct: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CLOUD_Act

Good morning, Prague! Fourth day of #IETF104 https://www.ietf.org/how/meetings/104/
For me, today, the "key rollover" session (should we change the #DNSSEC key of the #DNS root zone every year, to make it an unnoticeable event?) https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/104/materials/agenda-104-ksk-00 and HRPC (Human Rights and Protocol Considerations) https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/104/materials/agenda-104-hrpc-05

The original of this PR was unclear and incomplete. We apologise. The FSFE is not, and has never been, in favour of developing fundamentally flawed filtering technologies. Our rectification: https://fsfe.org/news/2019/news-20190326-01.en.html

Yes actually I agree on this.
Right now, hackers should be payed through public taxes to hack whatever they feel interesting and release it under the strongest possible copyleft one could think.
This way we could throw crap away faster.
I would accept a fraction of my income to work on Jehanne full time for ten years.But that's not enough though.
We need to teach.
To learn how to teach, and teach what we learn. -

@Shamar @nergalur @freakazoid @LibertyPaulM @HerraBRE I agree on fostering strongest auto upgradable #copyleft licensed projects to better both teaching, infrastructure maintaining and other things. But also worry about people duplicating efforts. Perhaps the government could have a directory of granted projects, forbidding duplicatas to apply for funding.

I'm disturbed seeing that ppl here were about to obey to a law that does not yet exist as a law and was rejected by a really large crowd.
I'm speaking about the #uploadfilter.
If you're hosting in europe, you do NOT need to have one, a least not now, not tomorrow.
If we adopt social behaviour befor it becomes mandatory because we're afraid it becomming mandatory, we make the case we're afraid of happening more likly to happen.

.oO EU MEPs mistakenly voted for upload filter bots, that will mistakenly block posts by non-bots mistaken for bots paid by non-MAFIAA $$$ that didn't land in MEP's accounts (bad mistake, they think?)
MEP = Mistaken European Parliament?
