    Just had an discussion on medicine with a few friends. Here's what I learnt today.
    1. Vaccines cause autism
    2. Chemotherapy is not necessary for cancer treatment
    3. Nilavembu (a traditional medicine) is an anti-biotic
    4. Bypass surgery is not necessary. Body will find its way around the problem.

    Without using a pull up resistor in the output, the ICs were behaving erratically and I was scratching my head on wtf was going one. One moment it was doing well and another moment it was all noise in the outputs.

    It took 3 years of dealing with 74xx logic ICs to learn that they are open collector output ICs and 1 extra month to learn that they need pull up resistors to function reliably. I probably learnt this in theory during my undergraduate leve (don't recollect), but without dealing in hardware, I would have forgotten this as it would not have made any sense without actually experiencing this in hardware.

    Are space mirrors really possible? It will cost lot of money to bring up mirrors in space. Also the proposed 500km distance will not result in geostationary orbits, hence a place will not get light continuously. I find the idea far fetched. Thoughts?
