    @allanviega Interesting observation. Yes, I added a lot of logging and diagnostic features to #AndStatus in order to help Users (and me) to solve problems quickly. Lots of federated servers, supported by volunteers, may have different problems, related to software and to infrastructure stability/configuration...
    Regarding the first application screen I would agree that maybe this is really "too much information" for an ordinary User...

    @colegota Such problems could be diagnosed by analysing the application's log. I personally have full logging to files constantly turned on for such cases.

    @andstatus not sure what kind of data traffic was, but it seems it becomes crazy!
    I went out of home after lunch for holidays and after 4 hours of driving phone was very hot, but I thought it was because GPS Navigator.

    Later at midnight, battery run out that was strange because I used CA adapter until 3 hours before.
    Then restart the phone and in the morning I had messages from my Internet Provider telling me that I wasted my 1Gb monthly data.
    Go to Data use and #andstatus did used 1,4 Gb from late friday to early saturday.
    Then I had to remove it to stop transfer.

    At the screenshots said "removed applications" now, but before it said Andstatus.

    @drymer pasa con el 99% del !softwarelibre: un programa es excelente en lo que hace, luego te encontrás con su alternativa y es excelente en algo que el anterior no. Instalás ambos y vas usando uno y otro hasta que aparece un tercero, y así... #pueseso Finalmente, para !gnusocial me incliné por #andstatus y en este momento es el único en mi móvil con #lineageos, pero en la pc ando con #choqok y #gnusocialshell /cc @omarlibre

    Probando #andstatus, que hacia tiempo que no lo hacia. Parece que ha mejorado lo suyo.
    Da rabia por que en algunas cosas es mejor twidere y en otras andstatus, ninguno es superior al otro en todo.

    I want to type the xmpp: link in any !gnusocial interface (Quitter or Andstatus) and then when another user click on it, he will be redirected to a client as when you type a link like mailto:friend@example.com people that click on it it's redirected to an email client on device.

    Case1: it's working fine in #quitter and #andstatus. If you have an !xmpp  client at your device it can launch that xmpp conversation.

    Case2: the correct syntax its #xmpp:#tomatuordenador@#salas.suchat.org#?join# (remove #)
    That's without a "/" at the end like sometimes it's translated and the server it's "salas.suchat.org" with salas=rooms.
    Then when you click on it you must be redirected to your xmpp client and join the conversation/room.

    @andstatus in html web pages you can write xmpp address starting as xmpp: (like mailto:).

    In #Andstatus or #quitter you can link to an !xmpp account using it. For example:
    xmpp:tomatuordenador@suchat.org
    If you have an xmpp client it will caught the link

    But for xmpp room/muc's the link it's xmpp:roomname@server?join like
    xmpp:diar10deunalinuxera@salas.mijabber.es/?join/
    that it's translated by Andstatus/gnusocial/quitter to
    http://diar10deunalinuxera@salas.mijabber.es/?join/
    instead of the xmpp join room command as in html.

    What's new:
    1. AndStatus now can download older messages of a Timeline. When a User have scrolled down to the oldest message of a timeline, the "Sync older messages" button is shown, which allows to request next page of older messages from a server. This may seem like a must have feature, but due to ability to store previously downloaded messages as long as a User wishes, it was not frequently requested. In fact, ability to view older messages may be needed mostly during the first day-two of AndStatus application usage, when there is not much data stored yet. #354
    2. In order to simplify creation of new accounts, a long list of available "Social Networks" is divided into the three groups: Twitter, Pump.io and GNU Social. Now, when a User starts addition of a new account, he/she is prompted to select a "Type of Social Network" first. After this selection only social Networks of the selected type are shown. Actually, only one Social Network of Twitter and of Pump.io types are preconfigured after installation, so there is no need to select the only instance. But there are 7 preconfigured instances of GNU Social servers. Additional "Social networks" may be added by a User. #212
    3. Another round to simplify AndStatus adoption by new Users.
    * A form to add new account cleaned from irrelevant data. Added the "Home timeline" button showing a way to proceed after successful account creation.
    * Added "Manage AndStatus accounts in Android Settings" item to Settings -> Accounts section.
    * When you are creating new account and stay in a Web view, you can switch to another application (e.g. to lookup password) and back to continue account creation.
    4. Fixed a case when Twitter message appeared truncated. #212
