I broke one of my own rules. While hanging out with a friend I had a weed-infused apple cider. My friend then proceeded to put on the first episode of The Agency (2024), a show neither of us have seen. I loved each minute of it, but now I can't reliably tell if it was actually good. 🤷♂️ And that's why I never watch new stuff high.
@benjamin@mcc@foone Speaking from experience - writing data to 5.25 floppies from a modern machine is sadly not a very straightforward process. At least not as straightforward as one would probably expect.

@benjamin@mcc@foone Do *not* use those chips. Their features are extremely limited, and they might not end up doing what you want them to do. Get an open source drive controller, like a Greaseweazle.
@reconbot@root42 At least they didn't include the scene where in the end in order to delay the KGB agents at the airport Alexei would start signing Korobeiniki as the crowd would join in. Source: Alexei Pajitnov on the script's many revisions. I didn't need the film to be historically accurate, most of these kinds of films aren't. I just thought it was sloppy, and its depiction of late USSR too caricaturized even for a comedy.
@dmbaturin I'm assuming alien forces taking over the planet, defeating all formal governments, and leaving only a small portion of inhabitants implies that student loan records were most likely lost.
