    Teaching GNU/linux to a newbie, that too a computer newbie. He's a bit motivated to learn and I have started him off with manjaro linux (most popular distro now). I have actually taught him to do certain things via commandline, because I have long forgotten graphical alternatives or have no patience with them. Lets see how it goes. #gnulinux

    So the GPU, which requires proprietary software is required for booting process. Hence, you cannot avoid using non-free software.

    An 80 km cycling trip in a level 3 difficult climate (scale 1-6 where level 6 can kill. Cycled from morning to midday and then from dusk to first watch. I was unusually fast today, probably due to wind aiding me. Or due to the 3 weeks of almost no exercise after the last cycling minitour.
