    Con "boa" quero dicir:
    - víase ben
    - non se entrecortaba nin pixelaban video e son
    - sin retraso perceptible para manter conversa fluída

    Ambos con móbil 4G pero "gama mediobaixa"

    En general, más que para valorar pregunto para conocer.

    Sí que hay temas en que no veo diferencias significativas. Por ejemplo en la suscripción. Aunque si pensamos en su uso masivo, una muy buena parte de las personas que usan Guasap tampoco saben instalarlo ni configurarlo. Se lo han dado hecho y siguen llamando a alguien para que se lo mantenga si se complica algo.

    Respecto a los clientes, Conversations es muy, muy similar al de Guasap. Y se lo he instalado a personas no técnicas y lo usan porque prácticamente es lo mismo.
    Cierto, que en !xmpp, es el único cliente apto para gran público y es posible que los de #Matrix sean mejores. Aunque tampoco me imagino diciendo:"es muy fácil, elige uno de estas docenas de clientes".

    Y !xmpp también tiene buenos clientes de escritorio y webchats.

    @nobody @martaggcom @zagur este es otro tema que he leído estos días de pasada y no respondí porque andaba liado...

    En su momento hubo un debate entre si se debía apoyar nuevas iniciativas como #Matrix o cargar los esfuerzos en mejorar !xmpp.
    Me incliné hacia lo segundo, pero puede que haya perdido la apuesta/batalla.

    Creo que tendemos más a volcarnos hacia lo nuevo y dejar lo antiguo en el cajón, pero no estoy seguro de si es la mejor forma de avanzar. Me suena un poco a eso de que el que olvida su historia está condenado a repetirla.

    Puede que me equivoque.

    Today we’re experiencing federation issues between #matrix.org server and #disroot. At this moment we are trying to contact matrix.org administrator to confirm our suspicions of possible cause.

    Currently messages from matrix.org arrive with up to 10 min lag.

    Claro, menciono a #disroot como ejemplo de lo que vos podrías hacer en tus propios servidores, a saber: montar un servicio de #nextcloud (almacenamiento, calendario), montar una instancia #matrix o #xmpp (mensajería), montar una instancia #kanbas o cualquier otro modelo de gestión de proyectos. Lo único que te limita es que vas a necesitar una aplicación cliente para cada cosa. /to @sergio /cc @xikufrancesc y !otros
