Sad to confirm that #CalcKey is handling #KBin magazines even worse than #Pleroma / #Akkoma. To be fair, most microblogging software borks hard on anything that's not a microblog (e.g. #PeerTube) but I didn't expect #MissKey, a software suite that explicitly supports its own groups, to crash and burn on #KBin / #Lemmy

Hoy como todos los dias me levante leyendo la prensa, despues desayune y cuando me preparaba a escribir "mi columna diaria" sobre los acontecimientos que me parecen mas relevantes, me encontre con una desagradable sorpresa:

#Whalebird, mi cliente para el #fediverso de mi escritorio #Linux, simplemente no me dejo comunicarme con mi cuenta de neue.city

¿Sera un problema solo con ese servidor o con #pleroma en general?

A diferencia de eso, el cliente para #android #Subway sigue funcionando normalmente.

A lot of bug fixes and quality of life improvements in this release.
Most notably: fixed real time notification for Mastodon v4 (when the streaming API isn't on the same server), better attachment handling, fixed unmute/unblock functionalities and updated project page.

Son muchas las veces que he pensado en tener o mantener una mensajería instantánea al lado de mastodon.

¿Qué quiero decir? Que en muchas ocasiones si nos fijamos bien en los diálogos que se producen en cada publicación sería casi lo más correcto y óptimo si eso fuera o fuese comentado en una sala o mejor dicho un canal de mensajería, o chat como muchos le dicen.

¿Por qué? Pues muy muy obvio por que ocupar un toot o una publicación para decir solo "si" o "no" es perder tiempo y relevancia al hilo.

El microblog como otros lo llaman es precisamente algo de mayor y mejor contenido, algo que se desarrolle y se explica más que en tres palabras, que ya es mucho decir porque los hay muchos que hasta con tres vocales les sobra para decir todo.

Entonces, la idea de mensajería no sería absolutamente nada entrañable porque si nos fijamos bien estaremos haciendo lo mismo de lo mismo que hacemos con fediverso y mastodon, federar instancias pero de chat.

Otro dato muy curioso que les confieso pero creo no ha acabado por ahora de funcionar mucho es que dentro de la misma plataforma #Pleroma que igual corre con #activitypub dispone igualmente en su propio portal una opción de chatear, conversar, dialogar con las cuentas de #fediverso y otras cuentas pleroma. Pues repito algunos temas o confirmaciones muchas veces es mejor hacerlo en un modo y medio más privado que el público, y en forma de toot.

Entonces, imagino que saben que es #xmpp, imagino que saben que xmpp igual federa entre muchas cuentas, servidores y programas que ya hoy en día existen, imagino incluso lo saben que lo han usado pero ni cuenta nos dimos. Imagino que se alegrarán que incluso los propios emoticonos pueden instalar y ocupar. Imagino que saben que dispone de unos de los medios y certificados mas fuertes habidos y por haber, ah y en total posesión del usuario y no de los servidores de nadie, imagino lo saben...

¿Se imaginan abrir mastodon para publicar y luego gajim o movim para conversar en paralelo y al mismo tiempo? Pues se puede. #pueseso

@titi @jorge @joannastern De #Pleroma tengo recuerdos de cuando hice uso de esa plataforma. La instancia era administrada por @tarteka y su interfaz grafica (Soapbox) era realmente hermosa y el buen trato entre sus miembros era norma.

Llegar a este lugar y caer en un lugar donde el grueso de los mensajes se realizan en Inglés, Alemán o Japonés puede ser intimidante y desmotivante como primera impresión. Ya sea para hacer alguna de ellas tu pequeño hogar o para conocer gente, estos son algunos de los proyectos hispanohablantes en los que puedes hablar de ti, compartir memes y gatitos o ser partícipe de proyectos en pro de algun colectivo o del conocimiento. El Fediverso debe ser un espacio para todos, aunque claro está, buscando el lugar adecuado para tus necesidades.

@coloco No, THE network is #Fediverse and the different instances made with Mastodon, #Pleroma, #Friendica, #Hubzilla and others are connected to this network with #ActivityPub. Different instances of Mastodon, Pleroma and so on itself are NOT networks.

@mkljczk So I don't understand why this share should go only to Mastodon and not to #Fediverse. Why should Mastdon be the only platform which should be supported? Of course Mastodon is only one of the possible implementations - besides #Pleroma, #Misskey, #Friendica, #Hubzilla where the common communication system is #ActivityPub - so why not support this protocol? @GIMP
