    @lambadalambda This was also why #Identica was such a central part of the network while it was part of our network. Federation is the central advantage and disadvantage of our sites, so we need to make sure that everyone knows about it.

    TL;DR: Promote the OStatus federation over $SITE or even $SOFTWARE and we'll all benefit.

    Still seeing some network issues. Until $HOSTER's upstream connectivity supplier figures out what else is wrong, whenever $FEDERATI_SITE seems to be down, just give it an hour or two and it should come back.

    Affects all !fnetworks sites and others using the same hosting service.

    @shnoulle First, a @question for you: Are you trying to enable the use of @shnoulle without the "ostatus" subdomain?

    If you're not, then you should not need to do any of the socialify stuff. Maybe @mmn can correct me, but I believe he's rewritten some instructions there to clarify the fact that this process is unneeded for most !gnusocial instances. The software will simulate the existence of most of those files and directories on its own (sub)domain automatically.

    The #AndStatus dev seems to overcome previous upgrades' issue. I've upgraded at least twice without breakage (which rarely if ever happened before).
