@aral Aral, are you familiar with Stract (a search engine that is F/OSS)? It seems neat and has interesting features, but I haven't had time to investigate if it is what it appears to be https://stract.com/about
@peacememories@aral Do you have a link to where I can read more about Stract's use of AI/ML? It's not something I've been able to find more information on.
Added a few ground texture variants to suggest different environments/biomes. It's a first pass, but it already adds some fun variation and sense of place #screenshotsaturday#gamedev#indiedev
Been doing mostly non-visual work for the past couple of weeks, so I haven't had much to share. Here's a little voxel experiment I started this evening while exploring stuff for museum customisation. Won't look or behave *anything* like this if I go with it ^_^
Ah ha! I have achieved Number Godhood and mastered the rendering of Almost Longitude and Messy Latitude. I shall now ascend to a Pure Numeric Form. Or sleep. Whichever comes first. #gamedev#indiedev
Closer-to-on-time mid-month Bonesweeper status update for June is now up! Mostly cosmetic changes this month, but I've also been working on music and museum editing systems https://www.patreon.com/posts/68006288
Moved dig tile variation into a shader rather than modifying the actual geo before instantiating. It more than halves dig load times, so I've made "huge" dig sites bigger (1,221 tiles here!). I'll have to see whether it hurts perf on lower end GPUs before I commit
This week's #blendsday prompts were crucible, mushroom, skyscraper, path, and pump. I made a Crucible building from Massive Chalice, featuring my backer family's banner
This week's #Blendsday prompts were bucket, pool, camera, ball, and duck. I had to switch attention to some other things, so I made this not-so-exciting bucket.
Today's #blendsday prompts were igloo, icicle, ball, snowflake, and sled. After a late night working on Bonesweeper, I'm pretty beat, and made an incomplete igloo at sunset to reflect that
This week's #Blendsday prompts were mountain, boulder, waterfall, nest, shrub. I spent most of my time exploring different workflows and techniques rather than making something specific
I write, make, draw, play, game, and do handsome faces. I made Hive Time. Currently making Winter's Wake & Icicle (and a stack of side things)
