@verius @maiyannah I tested using Google Chrome browser how authentication works on another GNU Social site, where I have an account.
1. Via browser I accessed this page: https://quitter.no/api/account/verify_credentials.json
"Authentication Required" popup opened.
After typing my username and password I do see long a JSON text with my User's data.
It works!
2. When I access https://community.highlandarrow.com/api/account/verify_credentials.json , the same "Authentication Required" popup opens, but I cannot get through this prompt as if I really don't remember correct login/password. -

@mcnalu Do you mean that you upgraded firmware on your device, when you say that the problem may be due to a "recent update in android libs"?

You can also check "Commands in a queue" menu item for a reason of a post failure...

@taiganaut Just launch "Global Search" in #AndStatus for a #hashtag (or a !bangtag), and you will get a list of messages, which contain this tag, from all Social networks (to which your accounts belong).
Regarding slowness compared to web UI - this is due to these factors:
* Launching of a large application like Google Chrome definitely takes time.
* AndStatus stores data to a local database first, and then retrieves data from it for display. This could be optimized, of course... -

I posted the video https://youtu.be/I5ntfahO1GY with a full 15-minute recording of the #AndStatus v.34.03 automatic testing on Google Firebase Test Lab cloud on the latest Google Pixel device with the latest "Android O preview" OS.
AndStatus has quite lengthy automated test suite that starts from test data generation, and then checks different application features one-by-one.
Almost every window of the application is opened with data at least once during this test, so I am getting good grounds to think that the application works...
Google Firebase Test Lab gives some free daily quota to test your Android applications on different hardware devices.

What's new:
1. Fixed: [#Mastodon] Mentions were not loaded from "Notifications" timeline (to "Mentions" of AndStatus).
2. Fixed keeping list position when doing "Pull to refresh" in a Timeline.
3. Fixed Reblogged by other user was counted as our reblog in a context menu (same for favorited...)
4. Added "Forget sync events and dates" context menu item to the "Manage Timelines" list in order to be able to re-sync any Timeline with Internet. E.g. when you feel that some messages from a server timeline are missed in AndStatus.
5. In order to improve application responsiveness, the application's initialization moved to background. Described the solution in #StackOverflow -

@einhornpups "Commands in a queue" list in #AndStatus actually contains items from the three queues:
"C" - currently executed commands.
"R" - items from a Retry queue. AndStatus will attempt to resend them automatically.
"E" - Error queue - no automatic attempts to resend these commands will be made, but you can do this manually via an item's context menu. -

@tknjshiftbot The same can be told about a "button bar" with Reply, Repost and Favorite buttons?!
Do you think that (optional) confirmation dialog could be a better choice for you?
Or maybe even customizable context menu with ability to reorder and turn off items? - This one is nice, but this is hardly the most important improvement that #AndStatus needs?! -

#AndStatus used to work brilliantly, but in the latest update, it's decided that direct messages are the default time line. When I'm lookin at the home timeline, when it downloads 180 or so new posts, instead of starting with the oldest one, it jumps to the newest one, so I have to scroll down a bunch and then back up. 2017-06-23 v.34.01 (221) -

@celesteh As I'm sure you've also noticed that the new "Synced..." timeline list header has been added recently. I hope it makes syncing more transparent for a User, but this change definitely introduced some behavior changes and UI bugs. I will fix them using your feedback with observations and also my own experience as I'm also an active user of #AndStatus :-)
In addition, there are being implemented step by step some internal and invisible so far changes geared towards support of the #ActivityPub social networking protocol. Unfortunately, such changes may break something also...

@celesteh As I wrote in a Change log, http://andstatus.org/changelog.html ordering of Timelines actually improved :-) but existing users are advised to go to "Manage Timelines" and execute the "Reset timelines order".
And then you may set any Timeline as a Default Timeline.
